PENGARUH FREKUENSI RAPAT DEWAN DIREKTUR DAN JUMLAH DIREKTUR PEREMPUAN TERHADAP KINERJA PERBANKAN

Dalam beberapa dekade ini, topik penelitian mengenai tata kelola perusahaan menarik banyak perhatian dari para peneliti/akademisi di dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Berbeda dari kebanyakan penelitian sebelumnya di Indonesia, peneliti menggunakan frekuensi rapat dewan direktur dan jender (direktur wanita) sebagai determinan pada studi ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh frekuensi rapat dewan direktur dan gender dalam dewan direksi terhadap kinerja perbankan. Sampel penelitian ini meliputi 19 bank yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia antara tahun 2011 dan 2013. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah regresi panel least square (PLS) dengan menggunakan data panel tidak berimbang (48 observasi). Kinerja perusahaan diukur dengan Tobin’s Q (pengukuran pasar) dan return on assets (pengukuran akuntansi). Dikontrol oleh ukuran perusahaan, utang dan pertumbuhan, hasil regresi menunjukkan bahwa 1) frekuensi rapat dewan direktur memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan yang diukur dengan return on asset, tapi tidak signifikan ketika kinerja perusahaan diukur dengan Tobin’s Q, 2) jender tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan baik diukur dengan return on asset maupun Tobin’s Q, 3) variabel kontrol (ukuran perusahaan, hutang, dan pertumbuhan perusahaan) tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan kepada return on assets, namun hutang dan pertumbuhan perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan kepada Tobin’s Q. Ukuran perusahaan tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap Tobin’s Q.References
